Following another visit with the Spartans, Howe knows he's not reached his goal of securing an offer from the Big Ten Champions.
"Michigan State is a school that has always been at the top of my list," explained Howe. "I know it's weird to say that because they have not offered me, but that is how I feel and just how it is for me."
As always, the Spartans staff has been upfront with the Ohio native about where they stand.
"If that offer comes that is great and awesome," he said. "However, I also know from talking with Coach (Harlon) Barnett that they are limited on scholarships for my class and it is what it is. So it's unfortunate, but I'll have to prove I'm worth one of those spots and must sellout to let them know I'm one of those kids that belongs."
The first step of that process started this week.
"When I was at the spring game Coach Barnett told me he wanted to come and evaluate me to see me move a little more," Howe continued. "He did that on Tuesday at school. So the process with Michigan State is still going and I'm still in contact with them a lot and glad I was able to get up there again."
As for his time at the Spartans spring game, Howe explained how it was another great experience.
"It went well," he said. "My dad and I went up there and arrived just before game time. It was a cool atmosphere and while some people don't get a lot of people for their spring game, some people do. Michigan State had a great turnout and I saw some other guys I was familiar with such as Elijah Taylor and we were able to talk a little bit."
