Jackson sees strong DB play at MSU

Farmington sophomore safety makes fourth visit to East Lansing, this time for the spring game, where focused in on Spartans standout Kurtis Drummond.

Michigan State's secondary had five interceptions in the spring game last weekend and Farmington safety Jakkar Jackson was watching.

"It was great," Jackson said. "I got a chance to really see how the defense was looking and the talent they have coming back."

The soon-to-be junior focused in on Spartans safety Kurtis Drummond, who had one of the interceptions.

"He started last year so I really like him," he said. "I think me and him are similar players. He is a good tackler and he plays in space really well."

It was Jackson's fourth visit to East Lansing., so he noted the relationships with the coaches have continued to get stronger with each trip he takes.

"I have been talking to the DB coach and Coach Blackwell and they both tell me to camp," he said. "Every single time I go I meet different coaches. I've met the wide receivers coach and the defensive line coach as well."

He plans on doing just that this summer, as he expects to camp at Michigan State on June 18. It is the only school camp he has planned at this time, with many other events on the radar as well.

"I am going to go to the Nike camp on June 1, then we will be visiting Sound Mind Sound Body and Michigan State camp," he said. "I'm going to Florida with Max Ex 7 on 7 and a Sound Mind Sound Body down there, then we have the IMG tournament down there, as well."
