Spartans Keeping Tabs on Kraemer

Despite the fact they've not offered a scholarship to Tommy Kraemer, Michigan State is keeping in close contact. Kraemer spoke with Spartan Digest about his latest chat with the Spartans.

Always working the Cincinnati (Ohio) area for the top prospects has Michigan State keeping tabs of Elder High School sophomore offensive lineman Tommy Kraemer.

Kraemer, who has recently added offers from Louisville and Tennessee understand the Spartans take their time.

"Coach (Mark) Staten and Coach (Harlon) Barnett both stopped in school to see me," said Kraemer. "I called Coach Staten yesterday but he didn't answer. So I'll try again this week to get in contact with him."

What have the Spartans said about them adding their name to his offer list?

"Right now they are not telling me a lot," he said. "But an offer from them would mean a lot and with them winning the Rose Bowl, it would be a real big offer."

Would the Spartans have a chance to earn Kraemer's pledge down the road if they offered?

"I visited for a game and liked it all," he explained. "I really like Coach (Mark) Dantonio and I think he's a great coach. All the players also like him a lot and that is probably really important.

"I also like Coach Staten as he seems like the kind of guy I could get along with. He knows what he's talking about so hopefully they will offer and I would definitely go up there for another trip."
