Upshur excited to visit Michigan State

2016 Philadelphia Imhotep tight end put on a show at Sound Mind Sound Body, will visit East Lansing on Friday to see what the Spartans have to offer.

The trip from Philadelphia was lengthy for Naseir Upshur and the 11 people in the van made for a packed ride, but it was worth it as a "business trip."

The 2016 Philadelphia Imhotep tight end came out to Detroit and put on a show at Sound Mind Sound Body on Thursday.

"It went great," he said. "I didn't drop any passes today and I don't believe any linebacker could stick me."

The show came in front of coaches from the likes of Michigan State and Michigan, both of which have offered the talented prospect.

He heard from the MSU coaches on hand plenty throughout the day.

"I talked to a ton of them," he said. "I can't even remember all of their names. I talked to all of them out here."

On Friday, he will take his first visit to East Lansing. He said his interest level is very high in Michigan State, though he remains open.

"I'm very excited," he said. "I want to meet all the coaches and I'm very excited to talk with all of them. …

"I want to know about the community and education they receive."
