Bryn Forbes headed to Michigan State

Spartans pick up second transfer in a week as the Cleveland State transfer is headed home to Lansing.

Michigan State basketball has spent the past week reloading for the future as three players have decided to join the program.

The latest addition is Cleveland State transfer Bryn Forbes, who signed to be a Spartan on Friday. The move was first reported by Graham Couch of the Lansing State Journal.

The Lansing Sexton product will be reunited with high school teammate Denzel Valentine after spending his first two years at Cleveland State and averaged 15.6 points last season, while shooting better than 42 percent from 3-point range.

Forbes likely will sit out the 2014-15 season, unless he obtains a hardship waiver, which is possible based on medical issues with his sister, Couch reported.

Earlier this week, West Virginia transfer Eron Harris decided he would spend his final two seasons in East Lansing after sitting out the 2014-15 season. Harris also shot better than 42 percent from 3 and averaged 17.2 points per game last year.

Last Thursday, Versailles (Ohio) wing Kyle Ahrens committed to Michigan State. He is the second commitment in the 2015 class, joining Muskegon (Mich.) power forward Deyonta Davis.
