Mizzou Makes The Cut With Receiver Davis

ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with Missouri offer and 2015 WR prospect Felton Davis III 6’4” 180 Highland Springs (VA), who has recently released a top 10 schools that includes Mizzou, and who talked about his interest in Missouri.

Davis said that Missouri assistant coach Craig Kuligowski informed him of the Missouri offer in early May. Since then, he said he’s spoken regularly with Coach Kuligowski, and he’s also spoken with Missouri assistant coach Pat Washington.

“Coach Kool is a nice guy,” said Davis, who said that Missouri is recruiting him hard. “We talk pretty often.”

Davis reported currently holding 20 offers, including Charlotte, East Carolina, Illinois, James Madison, Louisville, Marshall, Miami, Michigan State, Nebraska, Old Dominion, Purdue, Vanderbilt, Virginia, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, and Wisconsin, among others, in addition to Missouri.

On Thursday, he released a list of his top 10 schools, which included, in no particular order, Louisville, Miami, Michigan State, Missouri, Nebraska, Vanderbilt, Virginia, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.

“Missouri is in the SEC,” said Davis, explain his inclusion of Missouri on his list. “And, their offense is a wide receiver’s dream.”

Davis reported a personal best of 4.49 seconds in the 40-yard dash, to go along with a 36” standing vertical jump, a 10’6” standing broad jump, and a 5-10-5 shuttle time that was hand-timed at 3.9 seconds and laser-timed at 4.1 seconds. He also runs track at Highland Springs, where this spring he ran an 11.4-second 100 meters and a 22.3-second 200 meters.

Davis said that he’s planning to take an official visit to Missouri “during the season”.

Davis said that he plans to major in engineering in college.

“My parents want me to get a good education,” explained Davis.
