Double Day: Butler commits to MSU

West Mesquite (Texas) cornerback is Monday's second commitment for the Spartans, joining WR Felton Davis.

Michigan State already had a good Monday with the commitment of wide receiver Felton Davis, but the day got even better later that night.

West Mesquite (Texas) CB Josh Butler joined the Highland Springs WR as the newest Michigan State commits when he committed during his visit.

The 5-foot-10, 170-pound cornerback visited East Lansing after taking a bus ride from Knoxville, Tenn., following a visit to the Vols with teammates.

He held offers from Notre Dame, Clemson, Texas A&M and many more, but picked the Spartans and became the tenth commitment in the class of 2015.

Butler would be the first player to sign with Michigan State since quarterback Nick Foles in 2007.
