Weight: 291 pounds
Position: Offensive line
In his third-year as a starter at Michigan State, Jackson started at two positions – center and right guard. He has held the center spot for the majority of the time since his redshirt freshman season in 2011, but moved to right guard for the Rose Bowl to replace Dan France, who was out injured. He missed one game last year being injured.
Jackson is a reliable presence that will leave his career with around 40 starts in his career. He has been consistent on the offensive line while playing primarily center through his career, working at both guard spots last season and now heading into this season as the starting left guard. There is no reason to doubt he can make that adjustment to continue being a solid player on the interior of the offensive line. An underrated part of Jackson that is not recognized nor talked about much is his leadership ability. He is a solid person for the offensive line to rally around as a person and as a leader and that is a valuable part of him being on this list.
