Injured players expected to play at Oregon

After multiple players left Friday night's game with injuries, Dantonio anticipates all will play in Eugene on Saturday.

Michigan State avoided the injury bug for the most part in 2013 and might have gotten away scot-free in its season-opener.

The Spartans saw quarterback Connor Cook, running back Jeremy Langford, wide receiver MacGarrett Kings Jr. and offensive lineman Travis Jackson all helped off the field in some capacity in its 45-7 win against Jacksonville State on Friday night.

Cook returned to the game and threw for 285 yards and three touchdowns, while the other three did not return.

On Tuesday, coach Mark Dantonio said with all three on the depth chart, it means they should play Saturday at Oregon.

”Right now, I anticipate them practicing and playing,” he said.

If any of those players are not going to play Saturday, Dantonio said it will be noted prior to the game.

”You know how I am about injuries, we will list them when we get to the game,” he said. “If they’re not going to play in Saturday’s game, I’ll let you know before we play.”

Senior right guard Connor Kruse still is not on the depth chart after going down with an undisclosed injury during preseason camp.
