With three early scholarship offers already in hand, Leipsic (Ohio) High School junior offensive lineman Gavin Cupp visited a school he’s got high interest in.

“I was at Michigan State on Saturday,” said Cupp. “It was pretty cool and I liked seeing the facilities and the stadium. It was a great game and it’s a pretty cool place.”

Have the Spartans talked much about a possible offer coming Cupp’s way at some point and time?

“We didn’t talk about that at all when I was up there,” he said. “They said if I want to come to another game this season to just give them a call and they can make it happen.

“My recruiting coach is Coach (Mike) Tressel and I’ve also talked with Coach (Curtis) Blackwell and Coach (DeAngelo) Smith. Coach Tressel hasn’t really been telling me much but I talked with him a little bit yesterday and he was glad that I could make it.”

While Cupp hasn’t picked up an offer from the Spartans yet, he’s looking to visit again at some point.

“I didn’t camp there as they didn’t really get a hold of me until September 1st,” explained Cupp. “They had a bunch of commitments there last night also. I think I’ll go back up as they said spring practice could be in order and we might go back up for a game. Camp is another possibility.”

Cupp has visited Bowling Green this season and has plans to visit Ohio State for two games, Notre Dame and West Virginia.
