It will be a big weekend for Columbus (Ohio) Marion-Franklin senior linebacker Anthony McKee as his team plays a first round playoff game and he’ll visit Michigan State for his official visit as they host Ohio State for one of the biggest games in the Big Ten this season.

BREAKDOWN: McKee is a hybrid safety/linebacker prospect with a long frame and the willingness to hit. That willingness to hit fits well in the Michigan State defensive scheme. A change of high schools prior to this season saw McKee play more in the secondary as to being up on the line of scrimmage. Above average ball skills lets McKee play the ball as well as a receiver in coverage and also allowed for him to take reps on the offensive side of the ball.
Physically, McKee has great recoil in his lower body and combined with physical strength, makes him a very explosive player. In the future McKee will need to add weight and strength but has a great frame fully capable of doing so. In the end, McKee would be a great addition to the Spartans recruiting class as seen in the following highlights from his senior year.
