Jackson expected to play Saturday

Michigan State senior offensive guard left in the third quarter against Maryland, but practiced Tuesday and is expected to play Saturday on senior day.

Michigan State’s Travis Jackson practiced Tuesday and should be playing on Saturday for the Spartans.

The senior left guard left the Spartans’ 37-15 win against Maryland with an unspecified injury.

”(He) looked fine to me,” offensive coordinator Dave Warner said Wednesday of Jackson in practice Tuesday, adding “I would hope so, yes” when asked if the senior will play against Rutgers on Saturday at Spartan Stadium.

After the game Saturday, Dantonio said the training staff felt Jackson was “disoriented.”

”It was actually the referees who brought it to our attention,” Dantonio said. “(It was) our doctor’s decision to keep him out the rest of the game. We’ll see how he is.”

Defensive coordinator Pat Narduzzi said Wednesday that redshirt freshman linebacker Jon Reschke is not practicing currently after not being on the dress list against Maryland.

Narduzzi said he did not know if Reschke would be out for the season or not.
