MSU-Rutgers rescheduled for Thursday night

After Tuesday night's game was postponed, the teams will make it up later this week at Rutgers

The week will look a lot different for Michigan State basketball than anticipated, but it still will get in both games this week.

After a 9 p.m. Tuesday night game was postponed due to inclement weather across the northeast United States, Michigan State and Rutgers agreed to reschedule their game for 6 p.m. Thursday.

The Spartans then will host Michigan at 1 p.m. Sunday at Breslin Center.

Michigan State was set to depart for Rutgers on Monday afternoon following adjustments to practice and flight schedules, but before the team’s charter took off for Trenton, N.J., the game was postponed.

Big Ten Network will televise the game Thursday night.

The Spartans will now have extra time to prepare for the Scarlet Knights, but less to prepare for the Wolverines. Instead of having Wednesday through Saturday to prepare, the Spartans now will have just Friday and Saturday.
