Signing Day Capsule: Kyonta Stallworth

Detroit King offensive lineman should be a multi-year starter in East Lansing after he committed shortly after the Big Ten title game.

Kyonta Stallworth – Detroit (Mich.) King Offensive Tackle

Height, weight: 6-foot-4, 265 pounds

Commitment Date: December 8, 2013

Why Michigan State: “It's a good decision for me and I feel comfortable there. It's just like another home up there."

The Skinny

Stallworth was a player that picked up early offers from UCLA and Florida, but Michigan State had the early allure. He seemed destined to wind up in the class and did so shortly after Tyson Smith in early December.

Stallworth transferred from South Lake St. Clair Shores to Detroit King as a senior, where he stood out at left tackle.

He is a nasty offensive lineman that figures to project to the inside.

After a likely redshirt year, a long career should await Stallworth in East Lansing as he figures to be a main piece of the offensive line for multiple years.
