Grayson Miller – Georgetown (Ky.) Scott County Safety
Height, weight: 6-foot-3, 195 pounds
Commitment Date: June 19, 2014
Why Michigan State: “From 8 years old on, it was just my dream to play here and say I was able to do the same thing as my dad. It has the same feeling 10 years later. I knew as soon as Coach (Mark) Dantonio said we are going to offer you. … I knew right then it was done. No matter who else offered me, it was still going to be the place I called home no matter what."
Michigan State got one of the fastest commits possible with Miller as he committed a couple hours after earning an offer.
He came up to camp with a recent offer from Western Kentucky, but impressed like crazy at the two-day camp and was offered for the showing. As a Spartan legacy, he wanted to follow in the footsteps of his father, former defensive back John Miller.
He is a big, athletic defensive back right now, but could wind up at linebacker. But with a combination of speed and size, he has nice upside.
Miller is coming off an injury in the second game of his senior season and working through rehab. He should be 100 percent by the time he arrives on campus.
