Signing Day Capsule: Justice Alexander

Nordonia defensive end is a big-time athlete that brings raw skill to Michigan State and fits the mold for the Spartans at defensive end.

Justice Alexander – Nordonia (Ohio) Defensive End

Height, weight: 6-foot-6, 245 pounds

Commitment Date: June 22, 2014

Why Michigan State: "I just felt like it was more the environment that I'm used to. It was the coaching and the way they coached at the camp. I loved it. I loved the drills they were doing. I just loved how Coach Burton talked to the players. I liked how he got at them. It reminded me of my defensive coordinator and coach. He got me a lot better in the two months I've known him. I felt like he could do the same thing but even better."

The Skinny

Another offer from the summer camp season, Alexander came in and looked like a grown man among boys. He did not take too long to commit, but was courted by other schools, including Ohio State.

He has a huge frame and a huge amount of athleticism. What has he done with it? Been an overpowering type at the high school level. With his athletic skill and ability, he fits the mold of what the Spartans have been bringing in at defensive end – tall, long and athletic.

With the amount of freshmen brought in last season, it figures that the Spartans have enough depth at defensive end to allow Alexander to redshirt.
