King Visits MSU

A tour of spring break visits just wrapped up for four-star defensive lineman Josh King, including a trip to Michigan State.

One of the top prospects in the state of Illinois, Hinsdale South (Ill.) defensive lineman Josh King took a spring break trip to swing though the Midwest.

"My first visit was Michigan State then we hit Michigan that same day then we went to Penn State and then made it to Ohio State. Before that we went to Wisconsin," King said.

King had visited Michigan State previously, but he enjoyed checking out a spring practice.

"It wasn't really that new because I have been there and have seen all the facilities and things they have to offer," King said. "My main purpose of going was watching them practice and I wanted to see what a Michigan State practice was like compared to the game. I wanted to see how coaches coach and I want to see what it would be like to be there for four years."

Another thing that King enjoyed seeing was defensive line coach Ron Burton coaching up his athletes.

"Coach Burton is a really loud guy, he’s a good coach. He gets the job done obviuolsy. He’s got a good line," King said.

Plus, the amount of Chicago area prospects on the roster already is interesting to King.

"That is pretty cool that they have a bunch of guys from my hometown. But I have only been talking to the coaches often," King said.

As for a decision, a cut in King's list is coming likely soon.

I will either a top five or top six probably sometime soon. I will either tweet it out or something," King said. "I’ll probably take like three or four officials, I don’t think that I will need all five of them. I will decide after my senior season."
