Lyke named just two Midwestern schools in his top-five, and there was a reason for that.
“Well I had a couple schools in the Midwest that I liked the most out of the ones in the area, Michigan State and Ohio State and my family loves both of them," Lyke said. "They are big notoriety schools as well, those two.”
The Spartans offered Lyke in February, and were one of the first Big Ten schools to offer the 6-2, 185-pound prospect.
“Overall, the whole school and the coaches really make you feel at home,” Lyke said. “And all the players that have committed there in my class are just really good about the process.”
The prospects in the class of 2016 for the Spartans are one of the biggest draws for Lyke.
“The guys that I know and have seen before on visits, and so it would be good to be around guys that you know a little bit and try to have a good experience,” Lyke said.
