Spartans Offer Impressive Florida Linebacker

We get a quick update from Jacksonville (Fla.) linebacker Dominique Ross who added an offer from Michigan State on Tuesday.

With an impressive offer list already in hand, Jacksonville (Fla.) Trinity Christian Academy linebacker Dominique Ross added an offer from Michigan State on Tuesday.

The offer is one that impressed the 6-foot-3, 203-pound linebacker who traded messages with Spartan Digest.

“I like Michigan State,” said Ross. “Michigan State has had a Top 10 defense for 4-or-5 years. With me being a defensive player, that’s a big deal.”

Leading the way for the Spartans is co-defensive coordinator Mike Tressel and Ross is hopeful of visiting campus at some point.

“I really want to visit Michigan State,” he said. “It’s just a matter of me finding a way to get up there.”

On film, Ross plays an outside linebacker / hybrid defensive end at Trinity Christian. This first thing physically that stands out is his length and long arms. He shows great burst off the edge with a nice shoulder dip or quick stutter step to keep from getting tied up with offensive lineman. High motor player that who is not afraid to slash down inside and support the run.
