Who earned game balls on the Michigan State offense from Spartan Digest?
We hand out five game balls following the Spartans 37-24 victory over Western Michigan.
Madre London – Running back Madre London made his first career start with a solid showing rushing 13 times for 59 yards and two touchdowns. London also did a above average job in pass protection when called upon.
LJ Scott – Freshman running back L.J. Scott saw action in the first college game of his career and the standout didn't disappoint leading the Spartans with 77 yards rushing on 13 carries. Scott has all the makings to be a top college back and will be hard to keep off the field going forward.
Aaron Burbridge – Wide receiver Aaron Burbridge looks ready to live up to his high ranking coming out of high school and the Spartans will need him to have the success many feel they can have. With four catches for 117 yards, Burbridge looks ready to be the team's top receiver.
Josiah Price – Spartan tight ends are expected to be solid blockers and provide an outlet for quarterbacks when needed. But Josiah Price continues to provide Connor Cook a big target and Friday night Price pulled down three balls for 49 yards and a touchdown.
Jake Hartbarger – The Spartans next four-year starter at punter will be Jake Hartbarger and he lived up to his billing with four punts and an average of 47.2 yards. While many felt the Spartans would punt less against the Broncos, it was good to see Hartbarger step up and showoff his abilities.
