Michigan State moved up two spots to No. 2 in the Week Four AP College Football Poll.

Michigan State moved up two spots in the Associate Press College Football Poll following their win over Air Force.

Michigan State head coach Mark Dantonio and his team entered the season with the motto "Reach Higher" as they looked to move the Spartans football program to even a higher level of success.

Sunday, Michigan State moved up in the Associated Press poll to the No. 2 spot right behind fellow Big Ten Conference foe Ohio State.

The ranking is the program's highest since 1966 when the Spartans finished No. 2 behind Notre Dame following "the game of the centry " when the Spartans and Irish tied 10-10 and the Associated Press gave the Irish the National Championship while the UPI named the Spartans the National Champions.
