Spartan Digest hands out game balls to a couple of Michigan State Spartans for their efforts against Air Force.

Which Michigan State Spartans earned game balls from Spartan Digest for their efforts in the Spartans 35-21 victory over Air Force on Saturday.

Michigan State held off a pesky group from Air Force on Saturday afternoon in Spartan Stadium and a few Spartans enjoyed great days earning Spartan Digest Game Balls for their efforts.

R.J. Williamson posted five total tackles on the day but will be remembered for his 64 yard fumble return for a touchdown and his interception.  Williamson has shown during his career that he has a knack of being in the right place at the right time giving the Spartans several remeberable plays in the process.

Riley Bullough led the Spartans with 16 total tackles on the day and played more in control as the first two weeks saw him at times over pursue plays and miss the chance to make a few more big plays.

Andrew Dowell may only be a true freshman, but he came from one of the top prep programs out of Ohio and has a high football IQ.  On the day Dowell posted seven total tackles that included a fumle return.

Shane Jones and Jon Reschke get listed together for the combo hit they placed on a Falcon that jarred the football out giving Williamson his chance to scoop up the ball and run for his 64 yard score.

Aaron Burbridge tied a single game program record with three touchdowns in a game.  On the day Burbridge pulled in eight balls for 156 yards and earned some money in the process with his acrobatic catches.

Jake Hartbarger only had three punts on the day but made the most of them with a 44.3 average per punt.  While he only placed one inside the 20, Hartbarger is showing early signs to being a weapon going forward.
