Michigan State quarterback Connor Cook makes cut from 30 to 15 for the 2015 Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award.

Michigan State senior quarterback Connor Cook was named one of 30 quarterbacks to watch in August for the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award. On Thursday, Cook made the final cut and is one of 15 college quarterbacks up for the award to be presented in December.

In August, Michigan State senior quarterback Connor Cook was named one of the Top 30 quarterbacks in the country to watch for the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award presented annually at the end of each season to the nation’s top college quarterback based on character, citizenship, scholastic achievement, leadership qualities and athletic accomplishments.

On Thursday the list of candidates for the award was reduced to 15 with Cook being one of the players making the cut.
