Michigan State under Mark Dantonio is 6-0 against Indiana and a seventh win against Kevin Wilson’s Hoosiers would keep the Spartans on pace for their season goals of winning a Big Ten Championship.
Wilson knows the Spartans always come prepared and ready to play.
“Tough challenge at Michigan State,” said Wilson. “Great team playing very, very well. When you’re playing a great team like Michigan State, you’ve got to process fast, cause they do some great stuff with some great players that come at you.”
While Wilson knows he’s got one of the best quarterbacks in Nate Sudfeld on his side. But he also knows Spartan signal caller Connor Cook can make things happen.
“We’re playing this week against a great player in Connor Cook,” he said. “A proven winner that’s won a phenomenal amount of games. But he also has such a great supporting cast and his ability to manage it.
“Historically, Michigan State has played great defense and complemented that with very sound offenses, that have evolved to being a very dynamic offense. Their coaches, their schemes, their players know what they’re doing. Mark’s (Dantonio) program has always solved problems, gotten better, so I know they're going to make improvements and will this week and it’s going to be a challenge for us in all three phases.”
