Future Michigan State quarterback Messiah deWeaver talks about becoming an Semper Fidelis All-American and ending of his senior season.

Messiah deWeaver has positioned Huber Heights (Ohio) Wayne to continue to make a strong push for an appearance in the state championship game in a few weeks. But on Thursday, the future Michigan State quarterback received his Semper Fidelis jersey at his school. Spartan Digest spoke exclusively with deWeaver following the jersey presentation.

Future Michigan State Spartans quarterback Messiah deWeaver will spend the first part of 2016 taking part in the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl just prior to heading to East Lansing to start his Spartans career.

Thursday, deWeaver accepted his Semper Fidelis jersey in front of family, teammates, coaches and friends at Huber Heights (Ohio) Wayne and then spoke with Spartan Digest about the honor becoming only the third all-american from Wayne High School.

However, deWeaver also knows something more important is ahead as the 12-0 Warriors prepare for a Saturday third-round playoff battle against Hilliard Davidson.
