Will Ohio two-way lineman Prince Sammons take an official visit to Michigan State next month?

Coming off an official visit to Duke, Prince Sammons has three more official visits he can take before making a decision on where he’ll continue his academic and athletic career. Will Sammons visit the Spartans in January? Spartan Digest gets the latest on the talented two-way lineman out of Cincinnati.

With trips to Oregon and Duke now in his rearview mirror, Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy two-way lineman Prince Sammons is one of the bigger names still uncommitted, Sammons and his family know with the dead period now in play, future visits will be limited with National Signing Day getting closer.

Where do the Michigan State Spartans stand with Sammons?

“Right now it’s between Michigan State and Vanderbilt for his next visit,” said father Brandon Sammons.  “The challenge is both of them are on the same weekend.  So he’s got to sort out which one he wants to do then which one can we get to that campus outside of that weekend that they have set up for their official visit weekend when they have recruits come in.

“So it’s really what he wants to do.  But it’s hard to say outside of the fact that it’s going to be one of those two as far as I know right now.”

Sammons and the Spartans have remained in contact about a possible visit to East Lansing.

“I’ve been in contact with Michigan State and Vanderbilt myself this week,” he said.  “I’ve been talking with Harlon Barnett so they are still in contact with him or myself.”

Spartan Digest will continue to follow any developments between the Spartans and Sammons in the coming weeks.
