Before he becomes the Michigan State Spartans next top middle linebacker, Joe Bachie must get adjusted to life as a college student athlete. As an early enrollee, Bachie is learning quick there is a big difference from high school to college.
Friday, Bachie along with six other early enrollees got their first taste of being put in front of the media and Spartan Digest was there to learn more about Bachie’s transition.
What did Mark Dantonio say about Bachie?
“Joe Bachie is an outstanding all-around athlete,” said Dantonio in a press release. “Joe was the top leader on defense from his inside linebacker position as well as being a major contributor at running back in addition to returning punts. As a junior, he was an all-conference performer on his basketball team. In addition, he was a solid shortstop and an outstanding hitter in baseball. He’s a very tough and intense competitor, who also maintained a better than 3.0 grade-point average. During our summer camp, Joe displayed outstanding explosiveness and jumping ability.”
