The Process To Sign deWeaver

In June of 2014, deWeaver gave Michigan head coach Brady Hoke his pledge.  Following the coaching change with the Wolverines, deWeaver and Michigan parted ways.  deWeaver had impressed the Michigan State Spartans coaches in the summer of 2014 at the Sound Mind Sound Body Camp and kept in contact.  After he parted ways with Michigan, deWeaver saw the Spartans offer along with Arkansas, Mississippi State, Pittsburgh and others.  In the end, deWeaver and his family found a home in East Lansing as they came away trusting Mark Dantonio and his staff to care for deWeaver and help him reach his full potential on and off the field.  deWeaver is already at Michigan State having enrolled in early January of 2016 and will take part in spring drills.
