Salt Lake City (UT) Taylorsville defensive end Mufi Hunt has taken the different route to Michigan State having been part of the Spartans 2015 recruiting class. Originally deferring his enrollment to MSU to serve a mission, Hunt saw an injury stop him in his tracks placing him in East Lansing sooner and part of the 2016 recruiting class.

The Process To Sign Hunt

Michigan State pulled Hunt into the fold one almost a year ago to this National Signing Day.  Originally planning to take a mission for two years, Hunt injured his knee early during his mission work and changed his plans becoming a member of the 2016 recruiting class as he’s already enrolled at MSU.  Recruited by the likes of BYU, Oregon State, Utah State and Washington State, Hunt was a late surprise for the Spartans 2015 class.
