The Process To Sign Lyke

Michigan State beat out Ohio State, Oregon, Baylor and TCU for Lyke.  After getting his offer in February, Lyke took a major liking to the Spartan coaching staff and the other prospects that had committed to the Spartans.

EVALUATION: Long safety prospect who looks the part and has the tools to be an excellent college safety.  Solid athlete who changes directions well and has good coverage instincts.  Competitive kid who also stood out as a receiver and has good hands and ball skills.  Must continue to get stronger, but is not afraid to be physical.  Can polish up his man to man coverage skills, but right now, fits very well as a roaming type of free safety. - Allen Trieu National Recruiting Analyst

STRENGTHS: Hands - Instincts - Tackling Ability
AREAS TO IMPROVE: Backpedal Quickness
