One of Michigan State's top 2017 targets added a big offer Sunday. When will he return to East Lansing to visit the Spartans?

Cincinnati Colerain junior defensive back Amir Riep added an offer from Michigan State rival Ohio State on Sunday. When does Riep plan on returning to East Lansing to visit the Spartans?

One of the top targets for the Michigan State Spartans in the Class of 2017 is Cincinnati Colerain four-star defensive back Amir Riep.

Sunday, Riep added an offer from Ohio State but still has plans to visit the Spartans in the coming weeks.

“My dad said we’re going up to Michigan State in mid-February,” said Riep.  “I’m excited to get back up on campus and I’ve been talking with Coach (Harlon) Barnett.”

Recently the Spartans also did an in-school visit with the early Scout four-star prospect.

“Coach (Mark) Dantonio, Coach (Mike) Tressel and Coach Barnett all came to school and watched me workout,” he said.  “Then Coach Barnett came back after they left.  But I look forward to getting back up there as I really like it up there.”

Could Riep be looking at a commitment anytime soon?

“I had thought about committing early,” he said.  “But I’m not sure right now.  I’ll have to talk with my dad more about it.”
