Class of 2018 offensive lineman Emil Ekiyor is looking to add an offer from Michigan State to his growing list.

One of the top offensive linemen in the 2018 recruiting class is hoping to earn an offer from Michigan State. Learn more about the interest Emil Ekiyor has in the Spartans.

With an upcoming visit planned with the Michigan State Spartans, class of 2018 offensive lineman Emil Ekiyor Jr. is hoping to add an offer from the Spartans to his growing list.

“I have 14 offers right now and trying to hear from biggest schools in the Big Ten and SEC,” said Ekiyor.  “I know Michigan State is a really good program.  They are kind of recruiting me pretty heavy right now and I’m trying to get up there and experience everything and see what it’s like.”

Is Ekiyour surprised by the early recruiting interest?

“I’m kind of surprised but not so much because of how good my film is and how much work I’ve put in,” he said.

What are the Spartans telling the 6-foot-3, 315-pound lineman?

“They’ve not offered me yet as they say they are taking it slow since I’m a 2018 kid,” he explained.  “So they want to evaluate everything.  An offer would be huge because I know a lot of more bigger schools would follow that because of the respect they have for the program.”

Ekiyour has only visited MSU once but it left a solid memory.

“I went for a game my freshman year,” he said.  “That’s been the only time I’ve been there.  It was for the Ohio State game.  It was a crazy atmosphere and just a crazy game.”
