Michigan State and Bryn Forbes remain hot as the Spartans clobbered Rutgers 97-66 on the road.

The Michigan State Spartans continue their winning ways and Bryn Forbes continues to be one of the hottest 3-point shooters in all of college basketball.

The hot shooting Bryn Forbes remained one of the hottest shooters in the country hitting a conference record 11 3-pointers as the No. 2 ranked Michigan State Spartans rolled Rutgers 97-66 in Piscataway, New Jersey on Wednesday night.

Forbes would finish with a career high 33 points in the Spartans rout of the Scarlet Knights and continue his hot stroke from behind the arch.

The win is the Spartans ninth win in their last ten games in Big Ten play but was closer in the first half than Tom Izzo may have wanted as the Spartans took a two-point lead to the locker room at the half.

Joining Forbes was Eron Harris with 15 points, Denzel Valentine with 14 points and Matt Costello with 10 points and a career-best 15 rebounds.

The win sets up a big game against Ohio State on Sunday as a win by the Spartans at home in the final regular season game of the season would give Izzo and his squad a double bye and No. 2 see in the Big Ten Tournament.
