Team White led by Damion Terry came out on top of Michigan State's annual Green-White spring game.

With a record crowd of 51,000 fans in Spartan Stadium, Mark Dantonio looked to give Michigan State fans a glimpse of what to expect when the 2016 season starts in four months. With steak dinners on the line, team White left the field ready to enjoy their spoils winning 13-11 over the Green squad.

The 2016 Michigan State Spartans football season countdown clock has officially start as Mark Dantonio and his newest squad closed the door on the 2016 spring season.

Team White walked off the Spartan Stadium field a 13-11 winner in the annual Green-White Spring Game despite being out gained on the offensive side of the ball.

Leading Team White was Damion Terry one of two quarterbacks truly battling for the starting job when the Spartans open fall camp in a few months.

The junior signal caller went 6-for-12 with 70 yards, but showed why he’s a dual threat scoring one of the White team's two touchdowns with a three-yard run.

But while Terry looked improved, senior Tyler O'Connor looked more impressive passing 16 times while completing 10 for 138 yards and one touchdown late in the game to Cam Chambers.

But to no surprise, defense was the name of the game on Saturday and redshirt freshman David Dowell stepped forward for the White team with six total tackles including an interception.
