Ohio safety prospect Keontae Jones gives the latest on Michigan State.

Ohio prospect Keontae Jones continues to add offers to his growing list. But one school he’s extremely high on has yet to offer. Jones talks about his recent visit to Michigan State and what the Spartans are telling him at this point.

Tuesday saw Cincinnati Colerain safety Keontae Jones add an offer from Wisconsin out of the Big Ten.  However, it’s another Big Ten program, the Michigan State Spartans that has him waiting with high interest.

Jones visited the Spartans for their spring game and gives the latest.

“The visit went pretty well,” said Jones.  “I spoke with Coach (Mark) Dantonio and also Coach (Harlon) Barnett.  They just told me it was good to have me up there and that they were going to visit me.  So Coach Barnett came last week to visit.  I know they really want me to get to camp this summer.”

Has Jones made any plans to visit or camp in the summer?

“Right now I plan to go up there this summer,” he said.  “But if I can’t, I’ll probably visit in the fall.”

What else did Jones see during his spring game visit with the Spartans?

“I went around the facilities a little bit,” he explained.  “They have a very nice indoor and weight room.  But I didn’t get a chance to really look around campus.  So I’m looking to get back up there to see the rest of it.”

How big would an offer be from the Spartans for Jones?

“An offer from Michigan State would probably be big,” he said.  “It might give me a chance to play college ball with one of my best friends (Amir Riep).”
