Former Michigan State standout Andre Rison talks about Spartans head coach Mark Dantonio as a former player and parent of a top recruit.

Andre Rison can give a different view of Michigan State head coach Mark Dantonio than most. Rison can talk about the Spartans head coach as a former player in charge of the program he stared for as well as a parent of a player Dantonio earned a pledge from in the Class of 2017. Spartan Digest asked Rison to give his thoughts on Dantonio after he coached and watched his son during the Chicago Opening Regional.

Former Michigan State Spartans standout Andre Rison played a big role for the Spartans as a senior helping MSU win a Rose Bowl.  He also enjoyed being a five time Pro Bowl selection and Super Bowl Champion with the Green Bay Packers in 1996.

Now, Rison is the father of highly ranked wide receiver Hunter Rison who has given his verbal pledge to attend the same college as his father.

Following Saturday's big NIKE Opening Regional in Chicago, Rison spoke with Spartan Digest about Spartan head coach Mark Dantonio from the standpoint of a former player as well as a parent whose son will play for Dantonio in the coming years.
