#48 Naquan Jones
If you see a trend here with the talk of all the incoming freshmen defensive linemen than your paying attention. Naquan Jones is another member of the Michigan State Spartans prize 2016 recruiting class and for good reason. He’ll enter the Spartans program with the size to take the field from day one. Depending upon his work in the summer, Jones could be another guy Ron Burton looks at early to get reps on the field as a defensive tackle.
Ranked by Scout as the No. 180 overall prospect in the country and No. 22 defensive tackle. Jones has shown great quickness to go with his great physical size making him a hard player to stop. The future looks very bright for Jones.
WHY HE MADE THE COUNTDOWN
There was a reason Jones was so highly ranked by Scout as he brings great quickness for a player that weights over 300-pounds. While he’ll have to make adjustments going against guys more his size, we expect him to compete early and it would not surprise us if he gets early looks in camp if he’s enters MSU with all the requirements needed to play during his first season.
