We continue our countdown of the 52 Michigan State Spartans to watch during the 2016 college football season.

To remember one of the best Michigan State squads, Spartan Digest brings you Spartan 52 for 2016. Why “52”? To remember the 1952 team coached by Clarence Lester “Biggie” Munn that went 9-0 winning a National Championship by being voted No. 1 in both the AP and Coaches’ polls. Munn was also named the AFCA Coach of the Year. So to start our official countdown to the season we announce the 52 most important Spartans for 2016.

#33 Brandon Clemons

Clemons recently received the extra year the Spartans were hoping for and he’ll be penciled at right guard when camp opens bringing leadership and experience.

Played in 13 games last season in the regular rotation of the Spartans offensive line.  Came up big in the win over Ohio State with 4.5 knockdowns in 24 snaps.

Sixth year senior who is expected to be the starter at right guard.  Could have been listed higher but Spartan Digest expects Clemons to be solid despite the fact he’s only got one career start.  Clemons showed last season he can take his game to another level, but he must do so on a weekly basis if the Spartans are to be solid across the front.
