We continue our countdown of the 52 Michigan State Spartans to watch during the 2016 college football season.

To remember one of the best Michigan State squads, Spartan Digest brings you Spartan 52 for 2016. Why “52”? To remember the 1952 team coached by Clarence Lester “Biggie” Munn that went 9-0 winning a National Championship by being voted No. 1 in both the AP and Coaches’ polls. Munn was also named the AFCA Coach of the Year. So to start our official countdown to the season we announce the 52 most important Spartans for 2016.

#27 Cameron Chambers

One of the top prospects in the country for the 2016 recruiting class.  Chambers enrolled early at Michigan State giving him a chance to participate in spring practice.  May not have received as much attention as teammate Donnie Corley, but has a lot of talent.

One of the top high school prospects in the country out of New Jersey.  Participated in the 2016 U.S. Army All-American Bowl where he led the East squad with five catches for 36 yards.

This summer during one of the Spartans summer camps Spartan Digest overheard former Michigan State standout Kirk Gibson talk about Chambers.  Gibson was amazed by the physical size of Chambers and had nothing but good things to say.  With his early enrollment we look for Chambers to move up the depth-chart early in his Spartans career.
