Call is Christmas in July for the Michigan State Spartans as they will at graduate transfer Gabe Sherrod from Delaware State to their 2016 roster.

Gabe Sherrod will bring his talents to the Michigan State Spartans football program using the graduate transfer rule that will make him eligible immediately.

For the Spartans that is great news as there are several questions heading into the 2016 season especially at defensive end, the projected position Sherrod will play.

Listed at 6-foot-4, 255-pounds, Sherrod adds depth along the line with the offseason departures of Craig Evans, Damon Knox and Montez Sweat along with losses from graduation.
