Cincinnati Moeller tight end Matt Dotson becomes 14th member of Mark Dantonio's 2017 recruiting class by picking the Spartans at The Opening

Thursday was a big day for the Michigan State Spartans as Cincinnati Moeller tight end Matt Dotson selected the Spartans over Penn State to continue his academic and athletic career.

Scout four-star tight end Matt Dotson becomes the latest member of the Michigan State Spartans 2017 recruiting class when he announced at The Opening that he picked the Spartans over Big Ten rival Penn State.

Dotson is a major recruiting win for Mark Dantonio and continues a growing pipeline of players from Southwest Ohio and Moeller High School since Dantonio took over the program prior to the 2007 season.

At 6-foot-5, 225-pounds, Dotson has the tools to be a complete tight end with the ability be both an in-line blocker and player capable of stretching the field with his pass catching abilities.
