Mark Meyers leaving Michigan State to finish college football career at Miami Ohio.

Michigan State senior safety Mark Meyers will take advantage of graduate transfer rule and leave the Spartans program to finish his career at Miami Ohio.

Spartan Digest has confirmed with multiple sources that Mark Meyers, a senior to be safety for the Michigan State Spartans plans to leave the Spartans program and continue his college football career at Miami Ohio this fall taking advantage of the NCAA graduate transfer rule.

Meyers, who came to Michigan State from Toledo (Ohio) Whitmer High School in the 2012 recruiting class, was a Spartans special team’s performer the past three seasons but struggled making up ground on the depth chart.

With the Spartans quality depth at safety for the 2016 season, Meyers looked to be on the outside looking in as younger players passed him by on the depth-chart.
