#20 Damion Terry
Many expected more out of Terry when he signed with the Spartans in the 2013 recruiting class. After redshirting his first season, Terry did see reps at quarterback the next two seasons but has only attempted 26 passes during his career. Was listed as a co-starter at quarterback during the spring but it was easy to see that Tyler O’Connor was the first choice at the position by the time the spring ended.
When Terry took the field Spartan fans and opposing defenses expected him to run the football. While only attempting seven passes on the season, Terry rushed 21 times for 68 yards. Also lined up at times as a wide receiver.
WHY HE MADE THE COUNTDOWN
At this time Terry is expected to be the Spartans back-up signal caller when camp opens. Much should be expected out of Terry as he knows he’s only a play away from being the Spartans starting quarterback. If not, he could see a younger player step forward and grab his spot on the depth chart with many liking what Brian Lewerke showed during the spring.
