We continue our countdown of the 52 Michigan State Spartans to watch during the 2016 season.

To remember one of the best Michigan State squads, Spartan Digest brings you our Spartan 52 for 2016. Why “52”? to remember the 1952 team coach by Clarence Lester “Biggie” Munn that went 9-0 winning a National Championship by being voted No. 1 in both the AP and Coaches’ polls. Munn was also named AFCA Coach of the Year.

#13 Donnie Corley

One of the top high school players in the 2016 recruiting class will be watched to see if he can step forward and provide Michigan State some much needed production at the wide receiver position.  His performance during the spring has everyone excited.  However, are fans expecting too much?

Corley was a high school All-American out of Detroit (Mich.) King High School.  Many expected Corley to become a big player for the Spartans when he signed and enrolled.

Following what many called a major performance during this past spring.  Corely will be looked upon to help the Spartans rebuild the loss of talent at the wide receiver position.  During the spring Corely was listed as third-team at the Z position.  However, look for the Spartans to get Corely on the field this fall with many feeling he’ll step forward and become a player to watch in the Big Ten.
