When asked if he could be MSU's go to back this fall, Gerald Holmes responded stating that all three are still competing for that starter position. "It's a day by day process. All of us [are] good...at the end of day it's whoever the coaches choose right now," said Holmes. He went on to discuss that the running back position can also depend on whoever is having a hot game. Holmes said, that being the kind of athlete Williams is he is making the best of the move, and has found his outlet in the fullback position.
