Matt Dotson Plays Both Ways In Season Opener

Michigan State pledge Matt Dotson took on a dual role during a 47-14 season opening win by Cincinnati Moeller on Saturday morning.

After seeing the start of his senior season delayed until Saturday morning due to storms on Friday night, future Michigan State Spartan tight end Matt Dotson did some double duty in helping Cincinnati Moeller to a 47-14 win over West Chester (Ohio) Lakota West at Nippert Stadium on the campus of the University of Cincinnati.

Dotson would post three tackles during his limited reps at defensive end and showed why he's the top tight end prospect in Ohio with three receptions for 49 yards and two touchdowns. Dotson scored on a 30-yard reception in the first quarter and the again on a 9-yard reception in the fourth quarter in the Crusaders dominating victory in the Crosstown Showdown.
