Update on MSU Women’s Basketball Head Coach Suzy Merchant

Michigan State women’s basketball head coach released from hospital Monday afternoon.

 

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State women’s basketball head coach Suzy Merchant has been released from the hospital after being spending the night at Sparrow Hospital undergoing precautionary testing. Merchant is resting comfortably at home following the completion of testing.

 

Merchant fainted on the sidelines early in the fourth quarter of MSU’s 71-47 win over Illinois in East Lansing on Jan. 1. She was assisted to the locker room for evaluation before being transported to Sparrow Hospital.

 

A time frame for her return has yet to be determined. Michigan State is back in action on Wednesday, Jan. 4 at Purdue at 6 p.m.
