Greg Elliot the 6’3 guard from Detroit’s East English Village is quickly rising up many schools list. Some are calling him the most underrated player in the country. He has been playing like the best player in the state so far this season, and after scoring 42 points in front of Coach Izzo on Friday Elliot was in attendance for the Michigan State vs. Michigan game in East Lansing today.
After the game Elliot received an offer from Coach Izzo. He spoke to Spartan Nation moments after the offer saying, “I was up in the basketball offices with the rest of the guys and the coaches were talking to me and that’s when it happened.” Elliot added, “It’s just huge that I got an offer from Michigan State.” Elliot expounded saying, “It shows me all my hard work is paying off.”
Though the offer to Michigan State is a big accomplishment Elliot told Spartan Nation that right now it does not change his time table on making a decision. “Right now I am focused on winning a city and state championship.”
With that being said there is no question Elliot enjoyed his trip to Michigan State. “That was my first Michigan/Michigan State game.” Elliot said “It was real cool to be there and to interact with the other recruits. I definitely enjoyed myself.”
Right now the only other visit that Elliot has scheduled is to Marquette. “I am going to go there for the Xavier game on February 18th” Stay with Spartan Nation for more information on Greg as his recruitment moves along.
