The Michigan State Spartans have landed their quarterback commitment for the recruiting class of 2018, coming from Dearborn, Michigan three-star Theo Day. The 6'4", 185 pound pro-style quarterback committed to Coach Mark Dantonio and the staff during his visit today at the Spartan Elite recruiting event. He informed Spartan Nation of his commitment first and we spoke of his news shortly after he verbally committed.
While on his visit, Theo knew it was time to officially become a Michigan State Spartan. He informed Coach Dantonio."I told coach Dantonio and he told the whole staff and they were super excited," he explained. "Early on in the recruiting process it always seemed like the right place every time I came up to visit it just felt like home," Theo commented on why he committed to the Spartans over the likes of Minnesota, Missouri, Kentucky, Boston College, and others.
Scout rated Theo Day a three-star recruit. The state's top quarterback is considered one of the fastest rising quarterback recruits in the nation, and is a perfect fit for the Spartans' offense. Stay tuned to Spartan Nation for all recruiting news, as the 2018 recruiting class progresses.
