FL 18 ATH Terence Evans is an intriguing athlete to Michigan State & we talked with him about the Spartans!
There is a reason why Terence Evans, a 5-foot-8 and weighing around 180 pounds running back from Miami, FL has earned the nick name “eight ball.” He prides himself on his overall athleticism and powerful running.
He never goes down on the first hit. “I just like to run people over,” Evans told Spartan Nation. “I’m an A-T-H.”
He has heard from Toledo, Princeton, Harvard, Pennsylvania and Michigan State.
Evans, a 2018 recruit, is enjoying the recruiting process. Not only does he appreciate the interest the schools are showing, but he likes the idea of being able to travel and check out the schools.
“I just enjoy all the love I’m getting from all these colleges,” Evans told Spartan Nation. “I love the idea that I will be traveling all around to showcase my talents.”
Evans said that he would love to come up and visit Michigan State and plans to do so sometime in the summer.
Not only can Evans run through people, but he has the speed to compliment it. He finished his first ever 40-yard dash in 4.63 seconds.
Although the offense at Norland High School is based on run plays, Evans is confident in his ability to catch passes. “When the pass opens up, you’ll see it come to me a lot,” Evans told Spartan Nation.
Evans did note that he wishes to improve at moving his hips going forward as it could take his game even further. With Evans’ combination of run speed, power and catching, he has the makings of being an impact player at whatever school he attends.
Not only is he a gifted athlete, but Evans said that his best traits are being an overall family guy and a leader in the locker room.
Evans fell in love with the game when he was only 5 years old. Since then, he has been working to follow his dreams and make them come true.
Evans said that there is no timetable for when he will make his decision. He plans to talk to his family and he will commit when they feel like it is the right time. A trip to East Lansing is in store prior to making that choice.
